It’s been a surreal few weeks, but as a small business I’m still business as usual in these tough times.
Nobody knows how long this is going to last and what things will look like on the other side, but we’ll get there and be able to get back to something like normal again and when we do a good accountant will be vital to businesses.
As a small business owner, I’ve felt this instant impact of the past few weeks, but being a small business means that I can adapt and be flexible in a very challenging market.
My normal working day is largely unchanged, working from home is nothing new, although my new routine now involves PE with Joe in the morning and trying to be a teacher in the afternoon, last week was weighing and baking.
There is still some recruitment going on, roles are moving forward, and people are taking the opportunity to do some forward planning for their careers and their teams. Lots of people have time to speak now.
